"Allegri's Miserere"

This volume gives two important new performing editions of "Allegri's Miserere" as it was sung in the Sistine Chapel between about 1750 and 1900.

Edition One is a transcription of the 1892 manuscript of Domenico Mustafà, the last direttore of the Papal Choir, based on Tommaso Bai's Miserere of 1711.

Edition Two is bassed on the Miserere taken from a series of manuscripts from the 1820s.
