Shorter House launched on 1st September 2010 at the Great Chamber of the Charterhouse, London. Our launch publications were: Sleep, Holy Babe (lullabies for Christmas) and The Book of New Responses. Just short of 100 guests enjoyed canapés and drinks as the Shorter House singers sang some of the new pieces.
Composers present included: Francis Pott, Anthony Mudge, Anthony Baldwin, Daniel Burges, Alexander Campkin, Andrew Earis, John Duggan, Catherine Kontz, and Simon Biazeck.
There was little emphasis on sales – it was a party! Guests reported that the event felt like the start of something brave and positive.
