Come and Sing Evensong is an opportunity to rehearse and perform an evensong in the historic City of London church, St Sepulchre-without-Newgate.

The programme is based on the new Shorter House anthology Sing Evensong, a collection of some of the best accessible new repertoire for evensong. St Sepulchre-without-Newgate is the home of the National Musicians Chapel and has historic links to the nearby Old Bailey.

The Conductor: Jeremy Jackman is the director of The English Baroque Choir. He sang with The Tallis Scholars and The Sixteen before spending ten years as The King's Singers highest voice. Jeremy has directed choirs and courses all over the world at venues including The Royal Albert Hall and St Paul’s Cathedral.

The Organist: Andrew Earis is the Director of Music at both St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, and St Sepulchre-without-Newgate.

Who can Sing Evensong? Anyone! Jeremy Jackman is experienced in directing singers of all levels and the repertoire has been selected to combine excellence with accessibility, so this is the perfect opportunity to spread your singing wings! More experienced singers will also benefit from Jackman’s highly professional direction.
